My work is a reflection of my love for self-expression. Growing up in NYC, I’ve been surrounded by cosplay, film, theatre, alternative subculture, and live music from a very young age— all of which have helped me learn new ways to visually express myself and tell a story through clothing.Whether it be costume or everyday wear, the clothing we wear makes a statement about who we are, whether we consciously think about it or not.My work is also expressed in DIY, and slowly-fading handcrafting techniques such as crochet, which cannot be replicated by a machine. It is important for me as an artist to prove that my work is extremely human and an extension of me as a person.
